Women for Whales are committed to achieving a universal collaboration for the protection and conservation of all conscious breathing marine mammals through methods that are pro-active, positive and peaceful.  Their focus is on creativity, awareness, education, sacred actions, connection and community - forming events, schools visits, film screenings, women retreats, artwork, murals, clothing, writing and volunteering in order to support their cause.  They coordinate the International Whale Celebration which follows the International Whaling Commission's annual meeting with the tagline "Whales should be celebrated!"

Women for Whales are currently based in Drake Bay, Costa Rica where the local dolphin population are in dire need of protection from commercial tuna fleets, and W4W aim to turn this eco-sphere into a recognised cetacean conservation zone.  Other campaigns include raising awareness of the critically endangered maui dolphins and supporting the South Atlantic Whale Sanctuary proposal. For more information on campaigns, events and how to join the pod visit Women for Whales.
