The Keep A Breast Foundation™ is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization. Their mission is to help eradicate breast cancer by exposing young people to methods of prevention, early detection and support. Through art events, educational programs and fundraising efforts, KAB seeks to increase breast cancer awareness among young people so they are better equipped to make choices and develop habits that will benefit their long-term health and well-being.
The Quiksilver Foundation has been a long time supporter of KAB and has partnered with this great organizations on numerous occasions to help raise awareness for breast cancer. Our Roxy athletes have all particpated in the infamous breast casting parties and through the auctioning off of these one of a kind painted torsos, Roxy has helped KAB raise funds to be put toward raising awareness among young people. Last year the Quiksilver Foundation sponsored the Treasured Chest campaign which strives to give women whom are newly diagnosed with breast cancer a unique opportunity to document their body and their feelings at a specific time in their treatment by turning their casted torso into a beautiful piece of art. The Keep A Breast Foundation Breast Casts™ are part of KAB’s unique education and support programs that harness the power of art and artistic expression to communicate complex feelings and thoughts about health, the female form and ultimately about breast cancer.
This year we are supporting the Non-Toxic Revolution who's mission is to inform, educate and inspire young people to revolt against the dangers of toxic chemicals in their environment and food supply especially those linked to the initiation of breast cancer. Its aim is to focus on prevention as a means to maintaining long-term health and well-being. NTR also provides alternative choices so that young people everywhere can make smart changes.
